Annual Pumpkin Carving Event.

Our popular Halloween event for kids and kids at heart. We’ll supply the pumpkins and safety knives. At the Northcliffe parkette, Northcliffe and St. Clair Ave. Hosted jointly with our friends at the Northcliffe Village RA and the Regal Heights Village BIA

Daffodil planting on Daffodil Hill.

800 bulbs have been donated to refresh the hill. Meet on Sunday morning at 10 am at Daffodil Hill — just east of the NE corner of Dufferin and Davenport — to join your neighbours at this annual beautification activity.

2019 Exec Meetings: Jan 15, Feb 19, March 19, April 16, May 21 (Public Meeting), Sep 17, Oct 15, & Nov 19 (Annual General Meeting).

March, 2019: Regal Heights Maple Syrup making. Got a maple tree on your property? Join us in taping some sap! Don’t have a tree? Then volunteer to do some of the boiling down. This was a big success when we first tried it in 2019. Everyone involved gets a bottle of Regal Heights Maple Syrup of their own. Watch for details!

Saturday, April 27, 2019, 10 am: Neighbourhood clean up day and garden maintenance. Join thousands across the city and help clean up litter left over from the winter. We provide bags and free leather gloves. We also need help cleaning our public gardens. Bring a rake and join the fun! Meet at the OCI parking lot.

Spring, 2019 (Tentative): Tree For Me campaign. Get a free tree for anywhere on your property, courtesy of the Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation. We’ll show you how to plant and care for your new tree. Watch for details to come!

Mid-June 2019 (Tentative) Neighbourhood Garden Tour: Watch for details closer to the date. Ideas and volunteers welcome!

Monday, July 1, 2019, 10 am: Canada Day Parade. Wear something red, encourage your children to decorate their bikes and join the family-friendly parade through the neighbourhood streets to Regal Rd. School.

Late summer 2019 (Date to be announced): Neighbourhood Street Party.  We’ll close a neighbourhood street for a fun day of games, live music and a fantastic potluck dinner. Don’t miss it!

Notes and Links About Events in 2017 

April 22: Neighbourhood clean up day and garden maintenance. Join thousands of others across the city and help clean up litter left over from the winter. We’ll provide the bags and gloves. Help keep the neighbourhood looking great. Meet at the OCI parking lot at 10 am. We also need a hand to clean up our public gardens. Bring a rake and join the fun.

May 6: Bike Maintenance Workshop. Bring your bike to the OCI parking lot at 1 pm for expert advice on how to keep your bike in top shape. Presented by MPP Cristina Martins with Cycle Toronto and the RHRA.

June 11: Neighbourhood Garden Tour, 11 am – 3 pm. We’re featuring gardens east of Oakwood this year. Enjoy a day of beautiful gardens and get inspired!

July 1: Canada Day Parade. Wear something red, encourage your children to decorate their bikes and join the family-friendly parade through the neighbourhood streets to Regal Rd. School. Starts at 10 am. Celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday!

August 19: RHRA Neighbourhood Street Party. We closed Lauder Ave. for a fun day of games, live music and a fantastic potluck dinner. It only happens every second year. Don’t miss it!

Past Events of Note

  1. The Regal Heights community recently unveiled a special plaque at the top of the Glenholme Steps, naming them the Dick Watts Steps, in memory of community activist and long-time RHRA Chairman Dick Watts.Davenport MPP Cristina Martins added her own tribute to Dick Watts on October 19, 2016 reading a member statement in the Ontario Legislature.View the tribute here
  2. Regal Heights Names a Lane in Honour of Clovis John Brooks
  3. Restored Regal Road Portico Unveiled (Dec. 7, 2006)  (Additional Photo of the unveiling)
  4. Another Laneway in Regal Heights is renamed to honour a WW II war hero from the neighbourhood. View event notes here.
