Event Report:
Daffodil Hill now has more daffodils than ever!
On Sunday, October 28, a team of volunteers planted 800 new bulbs on the hill, which is along Davenport Road, on the south side of Regal Road School.
It was a damp day, but no rain fell during the morning planting.
Seventeen people showed up, some staying for awhile and then moving on to other commitments. Among them were first-time planters who showed up with their kids. All were enthusiastic.
We even had two people from Nova Scotia, grandparents of an owner on Davenport Road, who were happy to help. Thanks to all who lent a hand with delivery of flyers, sending out emails and of course planting the bulbs. It was a good experience and we look forward to the little bulbs showing their flowers next spring.
