It was one of the hottest Canada Days in recent memory, but that didn’t stop an enthusiastic group of kids and adults from marching in the annual Regal Heights Canada Day Parade on Sunday, July 1.
Participants carried flags, sang, and used noisemakers as they made their way from Oakwood Collegiate, through neighbourhood streets to Regal Road School. Once there, they enjoyed a few treats and sang the national anthem.
Our thanks to our special guests for the occasion: Davenport MP Julie Dzerowicz and our City Councillor Cesar Palacio. Thanks also to the event organizers, especially Florence Watts and Vic Genova. And finally, thanks to everyone who participated!
