On June 7, 2018 a general election was held in Ontario. Regal Heights sits in the riding of Davenport, and the Davenport riding was contested by 9 candidates. Residents of Regal Heights had an opportunity to meet and learn more about many of the candidates at the All Candidates Meeting organized by the association, the BIA and other neighbouring residents associations. Cristina Martins, who has represented the Davenport riding provincially for the past 4 years contested this election but lost. Marit Stiles, who has until recently has been the TDSB school board trustee in our area contested for the seat and won the vote.
The Regal Heights Residents’ Association works very closely with our provincial representative on a number of important local issues. Please see below letters delivered today by RHRA Chair John Keating of thank you to Ms. Martins, and congratulations to Ms. Stiles.
