RHRA members receive volunteer awards

The Province of Ontario has recognized four long-time members of the Regal Heights Residents’ Association for their work with the group.

Members were honoured with the Ontario Volunteer Service Award at a ceremony on April 7 at the beautifully renovated Grand Symes Room.

Harry Lay, Peter Norman, Severino Centritto, and Art Dacks were awarded a certificate indicating their years of service, as well as a lapel pin.

Davenport MPP Cristina Martins and Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Laura Albanese presented the awards.

“Volunteers are the heart & soul of our communities and this is so true in Davenport,” Martins notes in an online post. “From helping out with community volunteer projects, park clean-ups, helping seniors stay active, participating in cultural organizations to welcoming newcomers. Davenport is a stronger community thanks to our volunteers.”

Congratulations to Harry, Peter, Severino , and Art!
